Edmund Pery (1758-1844) was the son of William Cecil Pery, 1st Baron Glentworth, and Jane Walcott. He married Mary Alice Ormsby (d.1850), daughter of Henry Ormsby of County Mayo, and they had eight children. Mary’s uncle, Sir Henry Hartstone, left her substantial property in Ireland on his death. Pery was styled Lord Glentworth from 1794-1800, and became Viscount Limerick in 1800 and 1st Earl of Limerick in the Peerage of Ireland in 1803. In 1815 he was created Baron Foxford of Stackpole Court in the Peerage of Great Britain.
