Charlotte Williams (d.1790) was the daughter of Charles Hanbury Williams and Lady Frances Williams (née Coningsby). She married Robert Boyle-Walsingham (1736-1780), younger son of the Henry Boyle, 1st Earl of Shannon, and they had two children. He adopted the surname Walsingham in 1733 on inheriting the estates of Elizabeth, Lady Osborne. He was a Captain in the Royal Navy, and died when his ship, the HMS Thunderer, was wrecked in a hurricane off Jamaica. Charlotte acted as her mother’s guardian during her prolonged mental illness.
