Sir Archer Croft (1731-1790), 3rd Baronet, and his wife Elizabeth Charlotta. His father declared bankruptcy in 1746 and had to sell Croft Castle near Leominster in Herefordshire to Richard Knight, a wealthy local ironmaster. The family moved to Dunston Park in Berkshire, which was inherited by the 2nd Baronet’s wife, Frances Waring. This was sold in 1798 and demolished soon afterwards.
