George Simon Harcourt (1736-1809), 2nd Earl Harcourt, was the son of Simon Harcourt, 1st Earl Harcourt, and his wife Rebecca Samborne le Bas (d. 1765). Until the death of his father, he was styled Viscount Nuneham. On 26th September 1765 he married his first cousin, Elizabeth Venables-Vernon (1746-1826). They had no children and the title passed to his brother William.
