Thomas Jervais
(b. Unknown, United Kingdom – d. 1799, United Kingdom )
Gender: M
Thomas Jervais was born in Dublin, where he developed his skill in enamel glass painting. He moved to England about 1770 and established his reputation with small-scale, finely detailed panels—generally copies of Italian, Dutch, and Flemish masters: he specialized in scenes lit by moon and fire which fully exploited the transparency of the medium.
