Selina Elizabeth Brooke was the eldest daughter of Sir Arthur Brooke (1726-1785), an Irish baronet, and his wife Margaret Fortescue. She married Thomas Vesey, who in 1776 was made 1st Viscount de Vesci in the Irish peerage. He was Elizabeth Vesey’s nephew.
