William Shenstone

William Shenstone (1714-1763) published a collection of poems whilst a student at Oxford in 1737. This was followed in 1741 by The Judgment of Hercules, which he addressed to Lord Lyttelton. After his death, his friend the publisher Robert Dodsley published his works in three volumes (1764-1769). A significant portion of his correspondence survives, much of it in the British Museum.
