William Clayton (c1718-1783) was the second son of Sir William Clayton, 1st Baronet Clayton. He was MP for Bletchingley from 1745-761, and for Great Marlow (a “rotten borough”) from 1761-1783. He lived at Harleyford Manor, near Marlow in Buckinghamshire. He married Lady Louisa Fermor. Their son William succeeded to the title as 4th Baron Clayton following the death of his cousin.
