William Lynch

William Lynch (c1730-1785) was the eldest son of John Lynch, Dean of Canterbury. He was MP for Weobley from 1762-1768 and 1774-1780, and for Canterbury from 1768-1774. He was appointed British envoy to Turin in 1768, where he lived intermittently. He married Mary Coke, daughter of Edward Coke of Canterbury, but they had no children. He died on 25th August 1785 at Barèges in south of France, where he had gone to take the waters.
