Marcia Morgan (1733-1818), daughter of Mark Anthony Morgan of Cottelstown, County Sligo. In January 1753 she married John Pitt (1706-1787), Member of Parliament for Dorchester and Wareham in Dorset; they had four sons and one daughter. Their daughter Marcia Pitt married George Cholmondley and their son Morton Pitt (1754-1836) became MP for Poole and for Dorset. George Pitt died at the age of 13 and their other two sons did not survive infancy. Marcia Pitt was a lifelong friend of Elizabeth Carter.
